[edit] Redirects

WP:Redirects are a useful way to allow users to find articles even when they search for different terms. They also keep all the relevant information in one place. Instead of creating several identical articles, you can redirect those other search terms to the main article. If you do not, they will eventually all have different content and edit histories. A tag has been placed on Gene Rogers, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. MKoltnow 17:59, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hello

Hello and Welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that you have been making several radio articles. This is great, we need the help, but you are making a seperate page for each incarnation of each station. Take a look at WKSI, WTFX-AM, or even WTOP and you will see that each incarnation goes on the same page, just under different headers.

I will go through and do a little cleanup for ya (adding the things that need to be added and what not), so no worries this time around, but once you take a look at those pages above, you will see what goes into a radio article (some are smaller than others) and it will be easier and easier.

I know it is a little tricky as first, but you will get a hang of it. Also, please check into WikiProject Radio Stations, they can give you a hand if you need it. Also, please let me know if I can be of assitance. Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 17:22, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. Dude, relax. You are doing a good job, you just can't have 10 to 12 pages redirecting to just one page. It is a little obsessive. But, you are new and don't know all the rules yet, so, the editors who do (Yamamoto, myself and others) come around and give ya a helping hand. We aren't being mean, we are just helping ya out. OK? So just relax and let Yamamoto or I know if you need some help, that's what we are here for. Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 00:21, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on WMAZ-FM - WAYS-FM, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

inferior duplicate of the article WAYS-FM

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Esprit15d 13:41, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
