[edit] Dudley Stagpoole

Hi, I've noticed that you've edited the Dudley Stagpoole page a couple of times. I was just wondering if you had any sort of connection to him at all. He's my great-great-great (maybe another great, I forget) grandfather. My family always enjoys finding more information about him. Also, I'm sort of new to Wikipedia and I'm not sure if this is the best way to communicate between users. I hope it is. Thank you. Andrew Dill

Hi Andrew,

I have been inserting birth, death and place names to many recipients on the Irish Recipients list. This is essential information for biographical reasons. Likewise I have included another two reference (Books& Papers) were many other Irish VCs are recorded namely "Irelands VCs" & " Irish Sword".

Dudley Stagpool is one of 168 VCs I have been updating.

This is how Wikipedia works. If you notice the list is open for editing so others (including yourself) can insert more information when they find it.

Regards George Fleming

Great stuff. Keep it coming.

[edit] Hello

Please don't blank out pages up for articles for deletion. Let the process work. You might even win. :) It does happen. --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 08:42, 20 November 2005 (UTC)

Thank you, I am beginning to learn how Wikipedia, works.

[edit] Leaving messages

To leave a message for another user, you should leave it at their talk page, not their user page.

For instance, User talk:Tiles, not User:Tiles.

Thank you for this advise. I now know what to do.
