Hey, folks. I'm new to this so don't shoot me if I mess up.

I love history and literature. I'm a teacher and I love to write. There's an ensuing debate over the validity of Wikipedia at my school, so I'm trying an experiment to see what I can do to improve the quality of entries on here.

My interests are U.S. History and literature, the American Civil War, and generational differences - I'm a member of Generation X (born between 1964-80).
