[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!

Hello Geoduck, welcome to Wikipedia!

I noticed nobody had said hi yet... Hi!

If you feel a change is needed, feel free to make it yourself! Wikipedia is a wiki, so anyone (yourself included) can edit any article by following the Edit this page link. Wikipedia convention is to be bold and not be afraid of making mistakes. If you're not sure how editing works, have a look at How to edit a page, or try out the Sandbox to test your editing skills.

If, for some reason, you are unable to fix a problem yourself, feel free to ask someone else to do it. Wikipedia has a vibrant community of contributors who have a wide range of skills and specialties, and many of them would be glad to help. As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing, Alf melmac 11:33, 5 November 2005 (UTC).

[edit] Swifties

Hi, Geoduck,

I'm a bit puzzled by your edit on the Swifties article. Want to discuss it on the talk page? I'll put a bit of my thinking there.

[edit] Tremors

Hello there...could you tell me where you put the information about the entire serries? I can't seem to find the information you stripped.

[edit] Jaws

You did a great job in reorganizing the article and rewriting the lead. From what I've seen in comparison, you didn't lose anything important, either that I or others wrote, and I'd like to thank you for doing a lot of stuff on the article I haven't been able to do correctly.-Dark Kubrick 05:28, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sir... SIR... SIR!!!!!

I have to say, I like the way you rewrote the passage about the restaurant scene in the Blues Brothers movie page. Reading that, I can visualize the scene quite well, and your description far more accurately describes it than the previous version did. SchuminWeb (Talk) 01:12, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Support your local gunfighter02.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Support your local gunfighter02.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Dawn of the Dead Remake Plot Synopsis Pruning (And Pruning (And Pruning (And Pruning (And Pruning))))

I admire your perseverance! I'd have gone postal by now. We should set up some sort of bingo game based on additions people make to the plot section. - Richfife 15:55, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Misleading edit summaries

Please do not use misleading edit summaries, such as the one at this diff. You marked the edit as minor and your edit summary read only "grammar edits", but you made substantial changes to the text. Please try to be more explicit in the future. Croctotheface 03:00, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Support_your_local_sheriff01.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Support_your_local_sheriff01.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Project FMF (talk) 22:44, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Die Hard

Key issue is WP:NOT#PLOT and the word summary opposed to blow by blow account. My rewrite knocked off 1KB and even I think that's still too long. I only pointed out "suave" as an example; there are numerous other problems with the old plot, including colorful descriptors that are pov (such as "storms the roof" and "incensed"), and again, length. Start with my version and knock it off, or try to pare down the old plot; if neither is done within 24 hours, I'm reverting back to my version. hbdragon88 (talk) 07:20, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for knocking off even more than I was able to. hbdragon88 (talk) 19:46, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
