[edit] King of Beaujolais
"The king of Beaujolais" - NPOV issue or literal statement? - Brycem 2 July 2005 07:32 (UTC)
- It is a common nickname/designation, and is currently clarified as such. -Agyle 00:28, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fraud conviction
Different news sources variously reported that Duboeuf the company was found guilty of fraud, or that Duboeuf the person was found guilty of fraud, and that Sylvain Dory was found guilty of something. My feeling is that most say it was the company. But unless one reliable source seems unequivocal in its precise terminology, I don't think either should be claimed, as this is the sort of contentious, factually unclear statement that Wikipedia's biography guidelines strongly discourage. "Wine fraud" is also vague; news accounts are often imprecise that way, or just say "fraud," but I think the exact (or translated) legal charge should be cited with something like this. I earlier cited the Guardian website, which said Duboeuf himself "was found guilty of 'fraud and attempted fraud concerning the origin and quality of wines'...." I thought The Guardian was considered a reliable British source, analogous to the New York Times in the U.S., but I am not certain of its reputation. -Agyle 00:28, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
