Something is clearly missing from this account of his military experience, that would make a conformist black man, who has been accomplished enough to reach the rank of 1st lieutenant, commit AWOL because an immigrant refused to shine his shoes. A part of this story is obviously missing. Stevenmitchell 03:08, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Black Empire

Schuyler did not collect _The Black Internationale_ and _Black Empire_. The collection was compiled in a 1991 Northeastern University Press Edition edited by Robert A. Hill and Kent Rasmussen. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.193.154.98 (talk) 21:08, 10 December 2006 (UTC).
