[edit] George S.Mickelson:Family farm instead of the Governor's Mansion?...

Is there a Wikipedian in South Dakota that can verify that during his term as Governor, GSM never lived in the Governor's Mansion, instead preferring to live on the family farm just a few miles down the road from downtown Pierre?...Baldwin91006 02:10, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

No, because it isn't true.Tonywiki 16:25, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, right!...I think it's true, because if our Arnold(Schwarzenegger) and his predecessors can live in a dingy old former Motel 6 in Sacramento during their terms in office(yes, Arnold has a mansion in L.A.'s Bel-Air district, too!), then so can GSM...

I had a copy of thte old(1989) Pierre phone directory, and under "Mickelson", it lists him and the family farm just outside of Pierre...

Just because you become governor doesn't mean you HAVE to bow to the Highway Patrol/State Police demands and move to the Governor's Mansion and stay there 24/7 until your term of office ends...Michaela92399 17:40, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Michaela's right;I just checked out what Arizona has, and that state NEVER had a governor's mansion(yep, Janet Napolitano still lives in her comfy home!)!...so that means that what I found out about GSM is true...thanks, Michaela!...Baldwin91006 02:22, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
