[edit] National Opera?

1954, he went to Australia and became resident conductor of its National Opera before joining the Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust Opera in 1957.

What was this "National Opera" that existed prior to 1957. To my knowledge, there was no such animal. -- JackofOz 01:58, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
