From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Image of Georgette Heyer as a young woman, scanned from the inside back cover of the 2006 edition of "The Quiet Gentleman" by Ms. Heyer, published by Harlequin Enterprises-Signature Select. Although presumably covered by copyright, inclusion of this promotional image in the article about Georgette Heyer is fair use to illustrate what she looked like. As she is deceased, a free image is unlikely to be available. Crypticfirefly 04:13, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use in Georgette Heyer

This image is fair use in the article Georgette Heyer because it

a) illustrates the subject in question
b) is on the English-language encyclopedia
c) no free equivalent is available. The subject died in the 1970s, and before her death she refused to do any publicity for her works; her readers did not know her real name until after her death.
