Georgian-Swiss relations are foreign relations between Georgia and Switzerland. Switzerland maintained a consulate in Tbilisi between 1883 and 1922. Switzerland recognized Georgia as an independent state on December 23, 1991. Diplomatic relations between both countries were established on June 10, 1992. In 1996, Switzerland opened a cooperation office in Tbilisi. In 1997, Georgia’s Permanent Mission to the international organizations in Geneva was also accredited in Berne. Since June 2001, Switzerland has an embassy in Tbilissi.
