State Route 211 begins at S.R. 60/S.R. 332 in Candler and travels south to the intersection of S.R.53 near the Chestnut Mountain community (and about a mile west of Road Atlanta), where they are cosigned for approximately one-quarter mile. Route 211 then continues south through Braselton, across I-85 (at Chateau Elan) and then through Winder. The route ends after traveling through Statham at the interchange of Route 211 and US 29/S.R. 316.
