George F. L. Charles Airport (Formerly Vigie Airport) (IATA: SLU, ICAO: TLPC) is the smaller of two airport in Saint Lucia, the other being Hewanorra International Airport. It is located adjacent to Vigie Beach, 2 km north of Castries, the capital of Saint Lucia. George F. L. Charles Airport is managed by the Saint Lucia Air and Seaports Authority (SLASPA). Unique among airports in the world is that the run-way runs parallel to a pristine beach. If your flight is delayed Vigie Beach is within 1 minute walk and is a wonderful spot to wait, especially with a cold drink.
