George Edwards and Son is a small bus company that operates from Bwlchgwyn, the highest village in Wales. It was inaugurated in 1873, and the company has run coaches since that date. It operates bus routes between Bwlchgwyn and Wrexham, through villages such as Coedpoeth and Southsea. It operates three Optare Excel buses and four large coaches. It uses these for coach holidays to Europe and domestic locations, as well as school transport to local secondary schools.
As of November 2007 the company operates three routes under contract to Wrexham County Borough Council:
- Route 9 - Wrexham to Gwynfryn via Wrexham Maelor Hospital, New Broughton, and Coedpoeth. 1 trip daily in this direction only, Monday to Saturday.
- Route 9 - Wrexham to Minera via Wrexham Maelor Hospital, New Broughton, and Coedpoeth. Hourly service, Monday to Saturday.
- Route 10 - Wrexham to Gwynfryn via Wrexham Maelor Hospital, New Broughton, and Coedpoeth. 9 trips daily, Monday to Friday, 8 trips on Saturday.
