Geoffrey Simmons

Geoffrey Simmons (1943) is a medical doctor, author, and intelligent design creationist in Eugene, Oregon. He has a BS in biology from the University of Illinois and received an M.D. from the University of Illinois Medical School in 1969.[1]
Simmons is a fellow at the Center for Science and Culture, part of the Discovery Institute. In addition, he has two books about Creation-evolution controversy, published by a Christian publishing house.
Notably in 2008 he debated evolutionary biologist PZ Myers.[2] Myers called the debate a "hoot and a half" and said Simmons "obviously didn't do a lick of research for either the debate or for his books."[3] He also done other radio interviews, such as on Coast to Coast AM.[4]
