Is the "French sector" of the airport technically in France? --Mathew5000 (talk) 14:21, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

No, as you can see by looking at Google Maps. But it is accessible from France without passing through Swiss customs. 143.252.80.100 (talk) 17:09, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

I recall reading that a small portion of the airport's property was originally in France, and Switzerland exchanged some other land so that the airport would lie entirely inside the Swiss border. Unfortunately, I can't remember (nor cite) the book in which I read this. -- Gyrofrog (talk) 21:39, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
