[edit] Editing
I'll leave it to someone else but this page needs editing. There's a bunch of irrelevant stuff about Eddie Cochran's guitar and Marc Bolan, etc that should be excised, and a great deal more info that is missing.
Also that Sounds Inc bit is pure POV.

[edit] Rumors
Uncited rumors have no place in an encyclopedic article. I've moved them to here until proper cites can be found, even then it's arguable whether they are pertinent. Wwwhatsup (talk) 21:53, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
- ==Tangents and Rumors==
- The car and other items from the crash were impounded at the local police station until a coroner's inquest could be held. At that time, David Harman, later of the band Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich, was a police cadet at the station, and taught himself to play guitar on Eddie Cochran's impounded Gretsch.
- A rumor circulates that an unknown rock 'n' roll fan, Mark Feld had carried the same guitar to the limousine from a London gig the night before. Feld later changed his name to Marc Bolan and became one of the stars of the British Glam Rock scene of the 1970s. This is unlikely as Vincent and Cochran were completing a weeks engagement in Bristol and had not performed in London the night before.
I agree 100%. Thanks for taking the next logical step. Steve Pastor (talk) 19:16, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
- The Bolan story is rubbish, the Dave Dee story isn't[1] Educated Guest (talk) 17:25, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
- I read somewhere that dave Dee was the first officer on the scene of the crash. (83.13.39.98 (talk) 21:58, 14 February 2008 (UTC))

[edit] other support artists
Wasn't one of the Blue Caps (Johnny Meeks?) on "I'm Back and I'm Proud", also am I correct in thinking "Scarlet Ribbons" was a duet with Gene and his wife? On his final tour, I believe he also had support from the Houseshakers. (83.13.39.98 (talk) 22:04, 14 February 2008 (UTC))
