Description

This is a Cold War era survey-meter (also known as an ion chamber or dosimeter) for radiation exposure. It is not a Geiger counter--with a Geiger counter, some clicking is normal (radiation occurs daily). A Geiger counter measures instant radiation; a survey-meter measures cumulative radiation If this begins to click, it has been exposed to enough cumulative radiation that the user is in medical danger.
