Geisenheim is a town in the Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis district, in Hesse, Germany. It is situated on the right bank of the Rhine, 3 km east of Rüdesheim, and 21 km west of Mainz.
The Forschungsanstalt Geisenheim, an important center for research and education in oenology and viticulture is situated in Geisenheim.
