Gegard Mousasi is an Armenian male mixed martial arts fighter. He is currently fighting out of Holland with Team Jurojin.
Mousasi began his combat sports career as a boxer but quickly moved to competition in Muay Thai kickboxing, and then eventually to mixed martial arts.
According to Sherdog.com his professional MMA record is 21 wins with 2 losses and 1 draw. (as of 4/28/2008) His most notable victory is a submission win over Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Denis Kang (who trains alongside the famed grappling-based camp American Top Team and also with UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre). Mousasi defeated Kang by triangle choke in the first round of DREAM.2. With this win Mousasi advances to the next round of DREAM's 2008 middleweight tournament.
