2. Being a promotional photograph, the image is released by the copyright holder for non-commercial use such as this.
3. This is one of several shots to have ever been taken of John Balance's funeral. It is used in conjunction with an essential section of the article.
4. No free or public domain images have or will be located which show Balance's funeral, however surviving Coil member Peter Christopherson placed this image on the official Coil website for publicity at the time of Balance's death (for further info see: http://www.thresholdhouse.com/departures.html ).
