Hi, I'm Sarah, a friendly sort of geek girl who is presently living and working at The Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania in the eastern portion of the United States of America. I'm a graduate student in computer engineering and hope to be a generally likable person, though you're welcome to disagree. Most of my contributions and edits are small by intention as I get a sense of how I fit in here at Wikipedia and what my proper contributions can be other than userboxes and grammar work. That said, I'm sure that I'll eventually break down and totally revamp the Blue Gene node in a fit of nerd.
It would appear as though I have a significant obsession with userboxes, don't you think? I think they're a cool feature and they're sadly one of the major things that attracted me here, after seeing how pretty and interesting some other user pages were. I would like to know, however, why are there none that deal with Neil Gaiman, makeup, stuffed animals, those adorable little hamsters, or cookies?
Other things about me... I maintain a personal Live Journal which is not publically-readable. I like chocolate, pizza, sushi, pancakes, cats, bunnies, other assorted rodents, and diet soda. I do not have three arms, but I do have two arms and two legs.
If you'd like to talk, feel free to beep me here via my talk page or via email. I love to talk to people and feel that I am a pretty extroverted person, apparently scoring as an ESFJ on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, though I routinely also score as ESFP. I think I'm a good blend between extraverted feeling and extraverted sensing, so I agree with the test! Woo! I guess I mean to say by that that I'm a chatty sort of person and love to meet new people, so feel free to spread some love my way!

I feel that I am super-liberal, and sadly feel that I have to be in order to carry out my master plan of continuing to live in a free society. Unfortunately, I don't get to vote as liberally as I'd like, because I don't think that there are any respectable political parties in the US that are popular enough that voting for them isn't voting "for the enemy" in the current political climate, so these guys usually get my vote, and I think that's sad.
If you spend much time talking with me about politics, I may come off as anti-Christian, but I don't think I am so much as I am pro-evolution and anti-creationism and also anti-homophobia, which is bad. Yay for queerfolks! I also feel that I come off as slightly rabidly feminist sometimes, but don't want to be confused with someone who "hates men." I love men! However, I strongly disagree with many of the gender conventions that US society has in regards to how women are casually treated as inferior, and how language is made generic by making it masculine.
On the other hand, unless you're a member of Westboro Baptist, chances are I'm happy to have a friendly conversation with you! I am a friendly sort of girl and do not mind the people that I talk to differing with my opinion so long as everyone is polite!
