Gaylord "Pete" Stinchcomb (born June 24, 1895) was an American football player. He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1973. There is a street named after him nearby the Ohio State University campus. Stinchcomb played several years of professional football. He played two years for George Halas's Chicago Bears (1921-1922) and also played some for the Columbus Tigers (1923), the Cleveland Indians (1923), and the Louisville Colonels (1926).
