Gavin Mudd

Dr. Gavin M. Mudd is a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at Monash University in Australia. He was awarded a Ph.D. in environmental engineering in 2001, from the Victoria University of Technology.[1] Mudd's research interests are:

  • Urban groundwater resources and management
  • Sustainable development in groundwater
  • Groundwater resource and contaminant migration modelling
  • Environmental impact, management and rehabilitation of mine wastes
  • Sustainable mining[1]

Dr. Mudd has recently completed a comprehensive report on Australia's Mining Industry entitled The Sustainability of Mining in Australia: Key Production Trends and Their Environmental Implications for the Future.[2]
