Despite transferring after signing a swimming scholarship offered by Arizona State, he did rank in some of Arizona State top men's swimming times. His 100 breast ranked 10th all-time (56.03), as well as his 50 split on the 200 medley relay, which turned out to be one of the fastest in school history (24.5).

Landreth's well-known for his unique style of breaststroke, which incorporates a kick that is much wider than the other swimmers, as well as a much longer upper body stroke.
