Gaute Ormåsen (born April 20, 1983 in Brumunddal, Norway) is a Norwegian singer and is the Idol runner-up over Kurt Nilsen.

Was born and raised in Brumunddal, not far from Oslo and Hamar. Is the son of Odd Steinar and Eva Ormåsen. Has a twin brother, Hogne, two older sisters, Agnethe and Karoline, and an older brother, Henrik. Likes to play Playstation. Loves his teddy bear, Dan Julius.
