[edit] The word 'gatekeeper'

This is Michael, in Arizona,USA.

I just wanted to say, that the word Gatekeeper is such an important word. I went thru Egyptian hieroglyphs by way of the Rosetta Stone, doing the Greek. But really thru the Stone of Canopus, doing all the hieroglyphs. The "door" in Ancient Egypt, is really used as a 'gate', like in the Book of the Dead, etc. I just found your mikkerpikker/evolotution page, i am just saying hello. I am considering finally making a page for myself. I have made a couple of nice pages, like Cylinder seal, and Block statue (Egyptian) for the category i made: Egyptian artefact types, (from the Block statue page). So, just saying hello, and remarking how important i think the word gate is.... incidentally Babylon is from Babu- Ilu (Akkadian, etc.), Gate, gods... Gate of the Gods. I worked on the Amarna letters after the Egyptian stuff.

Someone from Yahoo Answers just asked me about this page, and I have to say, I have trouble answering. We really need a brief and clear explanation of what a “gatekeeper state” is. The article just doesn't do it. — NRen2k5 09:12, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
