Gastón Acurio Jaramillo (* 30 October 1967) is a peruvian chief cook and an important representative of peruvian cuisine. He is owner of international restaurants and author of several example books. Besides he has his own television broadcast in Peru and cooperated in several magazines.

Gastón Acurio Jaramillo was born as a son of Gastón Acurio Velarde and Jesús Jaramillo Razuri. He was the only son and had four older sisters.
After a broken off law studies in Lima he learned de Madrid in Europe at the hotel trade school Sol in Spain and to Le Cordon Bleu into Paris cooking. There he became acquainted with his later wife Astrid Gut (* 1969), originally from Germany.
In 1994, he returned with it to Peru and began more exactly to study and use for Gourmet the kitchen the native kitchen of its country. It was considerably involved in the development of the so-called Cocina Novoandina . Today it belongs to S. to the most renowned cook of Latin America.

With his Mrs. Astrid it leads the restaurant chain since 1994 Astrid & Gastón with the origins in Miraflores, the Nobelviertel in Lima. Meanwhile there is this restaurant in addition, in Santiago de Chile, Bogotá, Quito and Caracas. The cafe del Museo lies in the art-historical museum Rafael Larco Herrera in Lima. The Café was arranged by the architect Jordi Puig. The confectionery and Pralinerie T'anta were opened in 2003. T'anta comes from Quechua and it means bread. La Mar is one Cevichería in Lima. Hermanos Pasquale is a Bistrokette in Lima, where someone can eat Sandwiches.
