Silver wing bats are obviously bats with in the colour of silver. They gobble up insects, are harmless and they fly at night.In the story Silverwing by Kenneth Oppel, Shade and his colony were silverwing bats. These silverwings have an excellent sense of smell, hear and they have echo location, since their vision is not really good. Obviously, they are colourblind.
