While I certainly do not doubt the possiblity that this gentleman might have had some rather severe personal quirks and behaviors, the use of the terms "opprobrious, acid-fried" are kind of a red-flag, aren't they? Wouldn't it be better if these types of judgments were from a quoted source or identified as the opinion of someone involved?

There was no citation for the claim that Gary was named one of the 50 greatest drummers. However, upon brief research, I found an article from Stylus making this claim [1]. So I added that. Canjecricketer 20:25, 25 September 2007 (UTC)
