Talk:Garbage Collected Filesystem

"Garbage collected filesystem" doesn't make sense as a category. Reference counting, as used by standard Unix and Windows filesystems, is a garbage collection algorithm. There are two things this article might really be about. One is GCFS, a (poorly named) experimental filesystem which uses some other form of garbage collection to collect cycles. The other is what I suppose you could call "cycle-collecting filesystems" in general. But I'm not sure either of these is notable enough for an article. Nobody uses GCFS, and I don't know of any cycle-collecting filesystems other than GCFS. -- BenRG (talk) 17:28, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
