Garbutt Mine: four men underground at the Garbutt Mine. Note the candle holder stuck in the mine timber on the right. The Garbutt Mine (F. C. Garbutt Mine) was located east of Leadville in Lake County, Colorado and was a good gold producer around 1895. F.C. Garbutt was a smelter superintendent in Leadville around 1879.
