Gary Thompson (soccer)

Gary Thompson is a former Canadian international and North American Soccer League forward.

Thompson played 7 times for Canada, four games in 1976 and three in 1977. He did not score. He was an inaugural member of the Vancouver Whitecaps of the NASL, and played a total of three seasons - 1974 through 1977.

Thompson was a member of the Canadian Olympic soccer team which failed to qualify for the 1972 Summer Olympics, making one appearance as a substitute in qualifying against Bermuda in a match won by Canada 3-0 in Hamilton, Bermuda.
