Gary Kirchherr

Gary Kirchherr, born in 1959 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, is a copy editor and columnist for the Erie Times-News in Erie, Pennsylvania.
Kirchherr is one of several Times-News writers who writes a column for the newspaper's "Good Morning" section. Before joining the Times-News in 2002, he wrote a computer column, "The Computer Curmudgeon," from 1995-99. In addition to writing his current column, Kirchherr maintains a blog and operates two Internet discussion forums.
Kirchherr graduated from Western Michigan University. Before moving to Erie, Kirchherr was an assistant news editor at The Asian Wall Street Journal in Hong Kong; a copy editor at the Anchorage Daily News in Anchorage, Alaska; and a news editor, business editor, editorial writer and columnist at The Holland Sentinel in Holland, Michigan.
