Gary Guglielmi

Gary Graham Christopher Guglielmi (born 14 February 1958 Sydney, Australia) is a former international Speedway rider who represented the Australia speedway team in the World Pairs Championship in 1983, finishing in second place with Billy Sanders.
He rode in the United Kingdom for the Boston Barracudas and the Coventry Bees until 1984 when he was banned for a year by the Australian speedway authorities and served a prison sentence after being convicted of a drugs offence in Australia. Gary was a popular rider whilst at Coventry, his exploits are legendary with Brandon folk especially his ruck with exeters vaclav verner in Coventry's vital 1979 40-38 British League victory, Verner had fenced Garys team-mate tommy knudsen and Goog jumped the pits gate and hammered the bemused czech, always had time for a beer & a chat which the fans appriciated
