Gary "Bones" Berland (1950-1986) was an American professional poker player that won five World Series of Poker bracelets.
Berland finished runner-up to Doyle Brunson in the 1977 World Series of Poker (WSOP) $10,000 no limit Texas hold'em main event[1] but did not cash because at the time had a winner takes all format which was changed the following year at the 1978 WSOP.[2] He also finished third in the 1986 main event. His total live tournament winnings exceeded $200,000.[3]
According to Doyle Brunson, he died shortly after the 1986 World Series of Poker of a rare blood disorder.[4]
