Garneau Theatre

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Garneau theatre is a theatre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Operated today by the Magic Lantern Theatres, the 1940 Garneau is the only remaining theatre of its style and period in Alberta. Designed by noted Edmonton architect William Blakey, the Garneau remains one of the city's most popular theatres, in part due to its proximity to the campus of the University of Alberta, which dominates the neighborhood. The theatre hosts the Edmonton International Film Festival.
