The Garden Slender Salamander (Batrachoseps major) is a species of salamander in the Plethodontidae family. It is found in Mexico and the United States. Its natural habitats are temperate forests, temperate shrubland, Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation, arable land, rural gardens, and urban areas. It is threatened by habitat loss.
