This surely is an advertisement?

I think this article is 1) from a hitoricle point of view, part of the Baal Teshuva movement, and 2)with so many camps in the network, defenitly worthy of an article.Shlomke 16:16, 29 January 2006 (UTC)shlomke

[edit] Meaning of "gan"

Agree with most of IZAK's edits. However, I don't think that the parenthetical insertion about the meaning of gan is necessary or correct. First of all, the meaning of the name "Gan Israel" is explained in the second paragraph of the article. Second of all, it's simply not true that in modern Hebrew gan means "camp" - the term for that is mahaneh; the only other common meaning of gan in modern Hebrew is "kindergarten," which would hardly seem to be relevant here.
