[edit] Benefits
Points are collected by spending money instore. Once one has collected 1000 points, these can be redeemed. Only 1000 points can be reddemed in a single transaction.
There are certain promotions in store and online, where a member of the program/scheme can get discounts or offers.[3].
Double points can be earned by purchasing pre-orders and in special promotions. However, there are no points awarded when purchasing Gift Vouchers or Download products.
[edit] Criticism
All loyalty schemes have been criticised as a waste of time.[4] Because of the £3 cost, in the UK, some online communities have complained that this is a rip off.
[edit] Earning Points
GAME awards 10 points for every £10 spent in store or online[5]. Every 1000 points earned, allows one to have a discount of £2.50 on any console or game, but not gift cards, downloads or other gift items.[6]
[edit] Members
Currently only GAME and the online GAME store, give out points. It is possible that, with the purchase of Gamestation [7][8][9], they may start giving out points. However, this has not been confirmed or even announced.
