Vindex was murdered, he didn't commit suicide.

Link to Wikiquote is useless. Wikiquote doesn't have any Galba's sentences.

Why isn't Tacitus used as a source? after all he was writing contemporaneously.

Age at death

Age was previously listed as 72, but since he died in January but was born in December that means it was 71. But the other issue is, there was no year "0", so ordinary math doesn't apply: things went from 1 BC to 1 AD. Thus he died at age 70 by my reckoning.
