[edit] Pashto and Nahuatl
Could the person in Poland who tried to add text about Galach being a creole of English, Pashto and Nahuatl please explain their reasoning behind the attempted addition, preferably with some sort of citation? Thanks! --SandChigger 14:27, 4 July 2007 (UTC)

It's obvious that a generationally modified form of french is Galach. For goodness sake, doesn't the Duke's motto "J'y suis, j'y reste" give some kind of indication?! And the workers of the Foldspace project frequently called Aurelius Venport "Directeur" Venport. And, please tell me that someone has noticed the relationship between Gaul and Galach. How could anyone miss that obvious etymological relationship! I never saw a single word remotely Russian or English in translated versions of Dune that were not in this language. So, yes, I would really like to know why an English and Russian creole is what people call "Galach"! --Francopedorro (talk) 00:18, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
- READ the entry in Dune. Unless French has suddenly become a "Slavic" language, I don't see how your argument has any support whatsoever. The Duke's motto IS French. Nowhere is it presented as an example of Galach.
- Your assertion that "Galach" comes from "Gaul" (or "Gallic", how about?) is just bizarre. It makes far more sense to assume it comes from some variation of "galactic". Without a citation to support either, however, speculation either way does not belong in the article.
- (As for the "Directeur Venport", word usage in the fanfic of Kevin J. Anderson or Brian Herbert has no bearing whatsoever on Frank Herbert's coinage of the name of the language.) --SandChigger (talk) 08:39, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
