The Autonomous Community of Galicia (also Galiza in Galician) is one of the historical territories composing the Spanish State and has a close relationship with Portugal. It is located in the most North-Western corner of the Iberian Peninsula. Galicia is divided into four provinces: A Coruña, Ourense, Pontevedra and Lugo, and 53 [[comarcas]] (regions).

The language of Galicia is Galician, which is spoken by a majority of the population and is closely related to Portuguese. Spanish is also co-official. The population of Galicia is 2,762,198 . The capital city is Santiago de Compostela; the most populous cities are Vigo and A Coruña.
