Galaxy AGN classification or galaxy active galactic nucleus classification is classification of galaxies with active galactic nuclei (AGN) in astronomy.

There are two main types of AGNs, Radio-quiet and Radio-loud, which are each broken up into further sub-types.

• Radio-quiet AGN
  • Low-ionization nuclear emission-line regions (LINERs).
  • Seyfert galaxies
  • Radio-quiet quasars/QSOs.
  • 'Quasar 2s'.
• Radio-loud AGN
  • Radio-loud quasars.
  • 'Blazars' (BL Lac objects and OVV quasars).
  • Radio galaxies.
