Galactik Football is a French animated television series, co-produced by Alphanim, France 2, Jetix and Welkin-Animation. It follows the story of a futuristic football team - The Snow Kids - as they try to win the Galactik Football Cup for their home planet Akillian, with the help of The Flux - a mystical energy, specific for every planet.
The show was first aired in English on Satellite channel Jetix UK in summer 2006, to correspond with the 2006 FIFA World Cup. It's first run was used to promote the Jetix Kids Cup 2007.
On June 20 2007 Jetix Europe announced it had acquired a second 26 episode season set to begin airing across Europe in Europe 2008. It started in United Kingdom on the 5th April 2008 with one new episodes even though the jetix uk website said it start on the 4th with two new episodes. The Jetix Galactik Football microsite is [1]

The match between the Shadows and Planet Akillian's home team is nearing the end. We see Norata (the Captain of the team) nodding in encouragement to his brother, Aarch (star-Striker) before stepping away. Aarch goes forward to take the free kick just as an explosion overhead is heard. Everybody is distracted and looks to the skies to see an avalanche approaching, marking the beginning of the Akillian Ice Age and the end of The Breath, Akillian's own Flux.

Aarch, former Striker of Planet Akillian and the Shadows and Clamp, a robot technician have arrived back in Akillian for the first time in fifteen years. "With your ideas and my machines, we can do great things together." - that was Clamp's motto with Aarch, the two planning to rebuild a Galactik Football cup-winning football team for Akillian. Despite everybody's beliefs, Aarch lives believing that the Breath still exists in Akillian; it just needs to be re-awakened. In his hope to produce a victorious football team for Akillian, Aarch prepares try-outs, aiming it specifically at teenagers.
With Clamp's assistance, Aarch is able to select a unique group of talented teenagers for his team. Seven kids from different backgrounds, personalities and skills are chosen. They are D'Jok, Sinedd, Micro-Ice, Mei, Thran, Ahito and Tia.
Aarch begins immediately training his new students with help from one of Clamp's many inventions, a holographic-training machine which can stimulate football game play holographically. Through this method of training, Tia is the first and only at the time to use the Breath, proving Aarch's theory correct about the Flux needing to be re-awakened once again. Following Tia's newfound power, Aarch soon realises that despite this, the team still needs a good passer. Believing he has seen a talented passer and possible conductor for the team, Aarch takes Rocket under his wing and organises the team's first game, a friendly match against the Wambas. Whilst the team puzzles over a suitable name for their new team, lazy Ahito suggests the 'Snow Kids' which everybody agrees upon instantly.
Meanwhile Clamp's true identity is revealed as the creator of the Meta-Flux, a synthetic and undetectable Flux that could serve a dangerous role in war. Rivalries are forged as Aarch meets up with Artegor, the former Striker of the Shadows, ex-coach of the Red Tigers and new coach of the Shadows, and Sinedd leaves the Snow Kids to play for Artegor to prove he's the best against D'Jok by winning the GF Cup for himself.
With the new arrival of Rocket joining the Snow Kids, an unlikely relationship grows between him and the midfielder, Tia. Micro-Ice crushes on the defender, Mei who plays with his emotions to gain his Striker position.

Aarch is the former Striker for team Akillians and the Shadows. He is a brother of Norata, rival of Artegor and the Uncle of the Snow Kid's captain, Rocket.
After the Ice Age on Akillian, Aarch left his home planet to continue his career as an athlete, joining the foreign team Shadows where he and Artegor became close team mates. That was fifteen years ago, but now Aarch plans on using all he has left to give the seven teenagers of choice the chance to compete in the Galactik Football Cup.

Simbai is the medic on Aarch's technical staff and is responsible for looking after the Snow Kids' health and diet. She's a close friend of Aarch and was the one to nurse him back to health years ago after the Shadows' Smog made him ill.
[edit] Clamp (Yarrit Labnor) [Robot-Engineer]
Clamp is a close friend of Aarch's and the technical adviser to the team. He is determined to help Aarch form a championship team and return the Breath to Akillian.
Fifteen years ago Clamp worked with Sonny to create the Metaflux. After Sonny escaped with the Metaflux Clamp was captured and had his memory erased on Bleylock's orders.
[edit] Sonny Blackbones (I'Son)
Sonny Blackbones is the leader of The Pirates, a rogue group whose aim is to fight the galactic corporation Technoid. He initially investigates the Snow Kids because of what he believes are Aarch's ties to Technoid, but soon becomes involved with the team for much more personal reasons.
Fifteen years ago Sonny worked as a scientist for Technoid and created the synthetic Metaflux. When General Bleylock tried to seize the Metaflux for millitary purposes Sonny escaped to Akillian. He accidentally caused the Great Explosion and the Ice Age and in the process lost the Metaflux, his wife and his unborn child. Later, he discovers that his son, D'Jok, survived.

A ruthless executive of Technoid, Bleylock's interest in the Snow Kids lies in their ties to the Metaflux. He is happy to return the galaxy to the bad old days when flux was used for war instead of sports, if it means he can take control of the galaxy.
He is well known to Clamp and Sonny Blackbones.
At the end of Season 1 he falls from a great height when wrestling Sonny for possession of the Metaflux and is presumed dead. He is crippled but survives and returns in Season 2 to take his revenge on those who thwarted him. He is the person ultimately responsible for the creation of The Sphere. He causes the disappearance of the smog.

Artegor Nexus is former striker for team Akillians and Shadows. He was a best friend of Aarch, now his villain. He is a coach of Shadows, earlier of Red Tigers. His favourite player is Sinedd, striker of Shadows, from planet Akillian.

Norata is the former Midfielder of team Akillian. He is Aarch's brother. His wife is Keira and his son is Rocket, captain of Snow Kids.
While the Ice Age on planet Akillian was happening, he lost his leg. Now Norata practises floriculture.

- The Snow Kids: They are from the planet Akillian their Flux is called The Breath. They are coached by Aarch. The players: Ahito, Thran, Mei, Rocket, Tia, Mikro-Ice, D,jok. In the beginig Sinedd was with the Snow Kids but now he is with the Shadows. They won the cup in season 1 against the Shadows in the finals 2:1.
- The Shadows: The Shadows are Humans, who thanks to their Flux called The Smog, can make themselves almost impossible to see and teleport all over the Pitch. As a result there are one of the most feared teams in the Cup. They are coached by Artegor Nexus, Aarch's former teammate and now, rival. Sinedd, a former Snow Kids player, is the star striker of the Shadows. Alongside the Lightnings and the Xenons, they are one of the favorites to win the cup in both seasons. They made it to the finals in season 1 and lost 2:1 against the Snow Kids in a Golden Goal situation.
- The Lightnings: The latest winners of the Galactik Football Cup in Season 1, the Lightnings are one of the most respected teams in the Galaxy. Their Flux,the Charge fits with their Players build, which is big and bulky. The Charge boosts their power and speed so much that it is on par with the teleportation of the Shadows. The Lightnings star player, Warren, is highly respected for his sportsmanship and is worshipped by many throughout the galaxy, most notably, the Snow Kids. In season 1, they unexpectedly lose in the semi-finals to the Snow Kids in the penalties round.
- The Xenons: The Xenons have never fielded a team in years, but return for Season 2. Their Flux, The Heat of Xenon, is known to be one of the most powerful Flux in the Galaxy. Along with their Star Striker Luur, Xenons are the new favourites to win the GFC in Season 2. It is said in one episode that the Xenons had not fielded a team because of the years of tragedy on their planet.
- The Pirates: One of the few known teams to not have a flux, the Pirates are a football team who are members of Sonny Blackbones Pirates. Though they aren't the best team in the GFC and have never made it to a GFC final, they are lauded for their fair sportsmenship. Their star striker is Stevens.
- The Rykers: From the Planet of Unadar, these Human Hybrids had to adapt to their difficult conditions on their Home Planet. This team has the Stamina, the Agression and the Passion to win. Even though they show great quality in Football, but are terrible losers. Their Star player is the Goalkeeper, Kernor and the Flux, the Metal Flux, is known to paralyse players for several Minutes.
- The Wambas: From the Peace Loving Planet called Wamba, their acrobatic play and skill saw them do well at the Galactik Football Cup before Season 1. The team has one of the best aerial attacks in the League, which is from their Flux, which makes them tricky opponents. Their Star Player was Ln-Zeara.
- The Technodroids: These Robots were designed by Technoids with one solely use - To Play Football. Even though they don't have a Flux (A Flux was developed for them, but it was destroyed)this team can tear other teams to bits. They can analyse each play and they swivel 360 on their Legs.
- The Cyclops: Even though this Team looks full of Short-Dimwitted players, Cyclops are strong contenders for the GFC. They use their one Eye, to give the opponents Headaches, can control the Ball with their Eye, and can read the Opponents thoughts! They also use a special type of Charge which allows to bulldoze thorugh the Team.
- The Red Tigers: A team who represented Akilian, before Season 1. Even though not having the Flux, this Team makes fun of their Opponents. Formed by the Rich Kids of Akilian, this team doesn't stand any chance against Teams with the Flux.
- The All-Stars: The All-Stars are a team that don't play in the GFC but play a special match against the latest versions of the Technodroids. The best players from seven teams are chosen to play in the All-Stars match and another person is chosen to coach the All-Stars. The latest players to be in the team was D'jok of the Snow Kids (Originally Rocket until he was suspended from the GFC), Sinedd of the Shadows, Warren of the Lightnings, Stevens of the Pirates, Kernor of the Rykers, Ln-Zeara of the Wambas and Luur of the Xenons. Aarch is chosen to be the coach. They play against the Technodroid V3 and win 5:1.
