Welcome to Wikipedia, Gaia17! I hope that you enjoy contributing here. I noticed your edit to Wikipedia:Introduction, so wished to formally say hi myself. To answer your question ("I just wondered if you could make a page about yourself on here!"): in general, only people who are "notable" can have articles. While this may not be entirely fair, if Wikipedia didn't have a limit on which biographies to keep and which ones not to, it would be more like MySpace (everyone wants a page of their own, etc.) than an encyclopedia. However, if you contribute here, you are welcome to maintain a user page (I see that you already created yours.) Wikipedia is not a free webhost or a social networking site, but if your user page helps fellow editors know about you and work with you better, then that's perfectly fine.
