Gabriel Fernández Arenas, known as Gabi (born July 10, 1983 in Madrid), is a Spanish football holding midfielder playing for La Liga club Real Zaragoza.
A product of Atlético Madrid's youth system, Gabi was seldom used during his debut season with the colchoneros. After a loan to another Madrid side, Getafe CF, he would amass 52 league appearances for Atletico from 2005-07, including his only goal, in a 1-1 away draw to RCD Espanyol.
On May 2007, Gabi agreed to join Real Zaragoza on a transfer fee of €9m from Atlético Madrid.[1]
