Gabe Nevins
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gabriel "Gabe" Nevins (born 1991) is a non-professional actor who landed the star role in Gus Van Sant’s 2007 film Paranoid Park . The script, based on the novel of the same name by Blake Nelson, takes place in Portland, Oregon, and tells the story of how a frightened schoolboy remembers an incident that will haunt him for the rest of his life.
The film premiered at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival as one of the 22 films in the competition, and won the extra-special 60th anniversary prize.[1]
As an untrained actor, some critics say Nevins lacks expressiveness, but others argue this adds to his authenticity as a scared and confused teenager. [2]
