Gaalipata, (Kannada: ಗಾಳಿಪಟ) is a Kannada language film directed by Yograj Bhat of Mungaru Male fame. The film has a big star cast of three heroes and three heroines. Ganesh is in the lead role along with Diganth and singer Rajesh Krishnan. The three heroines are Daisy Bopanna, Neetu and Bhavana Rao. Southern film industry's top cinematographer Ratnavelu is the cameraman of this film while Hari Krishna is the music director. Film is being produced by SuryaPrakash Rao and A.M. Rathnam under the banner S.P.R. Entertainers (India) Pvt Ltd.

Three friends Ganesh (Ganesh), Diganth (Diganth) and Rajesh Krishnan (Kitty) come to Mugilupete. Ganesh falls in love with Sowmya (Daisy Bopanna[[1]]), a widow, staying with her in-laws Kodandaram (Anant Nag) and Padma (Padmaja Rao) while Diganth and Kitty fall for Kodandaram's daughters Radha (Nithu) and Pavani (Bhavana Rao) respectively.
While Diganth-Nithu and Kitty-Pavani get the green signal for marriage, Sowmya is hesitant to accept Ganesh as her life partner. The director shows how Ganesh wins her heart, in a unique way.
The 'talkative' Ganesh is simply superb with his body language, dialogue delivery and expressions. Diganth has a very good facial expression and leaves a strong impression as doodh (doodh peda ). Rajesh Krishna takes up silence as weapon to winover the heart of film fans, he is perfect choice for his role. Neetu, Bhavana Rao, Daisy perform extremely well. Anant Nag is at his best. But it is Rathnavelu who walks away with all honours for his brilliant handling of the camera.
