[edit] Name etymology

Nigh Impossible to verify, but I suspect that the droid's name is a reference to the programming command 'GOTO'. The command itself has often been derided by 'advanced' programmers, the thought being that GOTO shouldn't be used unless no other option is available. Over-use is often considered a sign that the programmer is a novice. The fact that the droid has a dark-side alignment leads me to wonder if there was maybe an in-joke that 'GOTO is Evil!' or something similar going on. -Graptor
