Gölbaşı| is a remote but attractive rural district of Adıyaman Province of Turkey, next to the lakes of Azaplı and Yeşilova. It stands between Malatya and Gaziantep cities. Population 40,000. It has also its own lake in the name Gölbaşı. Yusuf Özdemir is the last mayor of this town since 2003 governmental elections.
